for !xuma mouthbow Transcribed from the performance of the !gubi Family by Bokani Dyer |
!Goma is a San lullaby for bees. Bees provide honey for the San to eat. To extract honey from the hive the honey-gatherers would find the hive in a tree trunk and follow the bees to find the best place to chop into the wood. While doing this they play! Goma to send the bees to sleep so that they can collect the honey without being stung.
!Goma is performed using the mouthbow with an amazing array of harmonics.
