The IAM project has been made possible through the invaluable support of the US Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural preservation through the United States Embassy in South Africa

The IAM project was initiated by the SAMRO Foundation, the Corporate Social Investment arm of the Southern African Music Rights Organisation (NPC).

The International Library of African Music at Rhodes University in Makhanda contributed a number of the audio recordings for transcriptions.

Jiwe Publisher - Final-Maroon-No_Symbols-Outlines (1)

Jiwe Publishers helped conceptualize the IAM project, transcribed a number of the works and edited others, in their mission to capture and promote African music. Jiwe is headed up by Dr Andile Khumalo and Bernett Mulungo.

In addition to these core supporters the IAM project is grateful to the IAM Committee, the transcribers and the performers whose work contributed to this effort.
